Soaring for Children

Our Second Annual Soaring for Children event was a huge success and we are so grateful to our supporters!

Despite a monsoon, more than 250 guests came out to Ferrari-Maserati of Ft. Lauderdale to share a SOLD OUT evening. They participated in a wine tasting, enjoyed live jazz-fusion from Urban Gypsy and helped raise funds through live and silent auctions Chef Remi treated guests to a gourmet menu highlighted by a beautiful risotto station, delicious pan seared terra skirt and salmon filet, and a professional cappuccino station and desserts. Many remarked that the venue was a highlight, as guests enjoyed posing with the Ferraris positioned throughout the showroom.

It was our pleasure to honor our 2013 Voices of Distinction – Adam Goldstein, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, and Louis Berlin, CEO of Berlin Consulting and a Voices for Children Board Member. Both Adam and Louis have been tremendous supporters of Voices for Children and generous, committed child advocates in our South Florida community. The event was hosted by Gia Tutalo-Mote, a well-known child advocate and founder of Forever Families

We pleased to share that Soaring for Children raised more than $60,000 to support Broward County’s Guardian ad Litem Program, which advocates for the abused, neglected and abandoned children in the care of the State. Thank you to our sponsors, guests and supporters!

An Alluring Afternoon

On November 4, 2012 Voices for Children held a sold-out event onboard a luxury cruiseliner, Allure of the Seas. As a result of the generosity of our hosts, Royal Caribbean International, 100% of the proceeds went to Voices for Children.

The highlight of the afternoon was a speech by Jessica, a foster child who dreams of entering college. Jessica is a remarkable young lady and an inspiration to all of us who heard her speak. Moreover, we were honored to have Alan Abramowitz, Executive Director of the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program as our keynote speaker.

It was our pleasure to honor Jim and Donna Inglis of Hydraulic Supply and Eaton Corporation as our Founding Voice as well as Ms. Patty Walker, the founder of Voices for Children of Broward County.

The event was enhanced by guest access to Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas. Guests were able to enjoy the wonderful amenities and spend a leisurly afternoon benefiting Voices for Children of Broward County.
