Lammy Askar – Vice President of Programs

A graduate from the University of Miami, Lammy has served our community in the non-profit sector for over 15 years. Her career in the non-profit world began working with survivors of domestic violence, where she led efforts developing, implementing, and managing domestic violence programs, including direct service intervention, school-based initiatives and prevention, and professional and community trainings. In 2013, Lammy continued her journey to the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, where she served the Council in various roles including Director of Program and Director of Volunteer and Troop Support.

Lammy strives to find creative and innovative strategies to empower individuals and to build the leadership of others. She has a strong commitment to violence prevention, empowerment and social transformation. It is important to live what she believes and to actively engage in the process of creating safe and supportive communities. With her knowledge and experience, this will translate into the further development of existing partners and the development of new community partners to accomplish the mission of the agency.
