Family Friendly Activities in Broward County

Finding affordable events the whole family will enjoy that are close to home can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be. Keep your family occupied with fun, educational and family friendly activities right here in Broward County. Here are our top five favorite events, some live now and others coming this fall.
  1. The Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk is every third Saturday of the month from 7-10pm. Meander down quaint tree-lined streets as you listen to live jazz music, visit art galleries, and watch artists painting.

  2. Tour the Bonnet House, a historic estate in Coral Springs surrounded by beautiful landscaping, fountains and ponds. Admission is $20 and children under the age of six are free! If you’re interested in more than just a tour, the Bonnet House hosts other special events including a movie night sponsored by Whole Foods, singer/songwriter programs and art workshops.

  3. See Journey to the South Pacific or Island of the Lemurs: Madagascar 3D at the AutoNation IMAX theatre in downtown Fort Lauderdale. It’s terrific family-fun and very educational.

  4. See Disney’s Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve! at the Parker Playhouse this fall. Get on board the train with a soulful singer and her hip-hop conductor. This kid-friendly show will entertain your kids with new renditions of the A-B-C’s, 1-2-3’s and more. Tickets range from $25.00-$35.00.
