Christmas in July

On Thursday, July 15, 2021, Voices for Children of Broward County hosted the FIRST-EVER Christmas in July event! At this event, Guardians ad Litem (GAL) and Guardian ad Litem Child Advocate Managers (CAM) had the opportunity to shop through hundreds of toys, games, puzzles, clothing, and other items for their children to help brighten their lives after such an uncertain year, living through COVID.

During Christmas in July, 50 GALs, lined up with bags to fill, shopped for 155 foster care children. All of the items shopped for will be used for birthday gifts, first time visits, court hearings, family enrichment activities, and ‘just because’ treasures.

With help from the College H.U.N.K.S Moving Company, dedicated volunteers from Davant Law, P.A., and our local community, they transformed the space into wonderland of joy. Thank you to everyone for helping to make our first ever Christmas in July a huge success!
