💙 National Human Trafficking Awareness Month 💙Myth: Human trafficking requires that the victim traveled across state lines or international borders. Human trafficking often confused with human smuggling, but while the crime of human smugglning requires a person cross a border illegally, human trafficking does not have to involve any movement at all. In fact, victims can be recruited into trafficking in their own towns or homes. ![]()

Happy Winnie the Pooh Day! 🍯 💙
After running away from home at the age of thirteen because of abuse, Isabella, unfortunately, became a victim of human trafficking. As a result, Isabella often found herself alone in the street, beaten, bruised, and homeless. She was soon placed in a group home where she felt safe and cared for. But her experiences as a human trafficking survivor will forever be part of her life. With your support, Voices was able to provide Isabella with the advocacy she needs as she navigates her way through life.
Help us continue to serve human trafficking survivors like Isabella by visiting our website at voicesbroward.org/making-a-difference/.
