The staff and board of Voices for Children of Broward County are delighted to introduce the 2021-2022 board of directors and to announce the appointment of four new board members. John Calabrese, Carlos DeBrito, Dr. Christine Mastandrea, and Luz Carime Reveiz have been appointed as new members to the board of directors.
Meet our newest board members below. The four new members join a 10-member board that represent a wide array of skills and experiences.

John Calabrese
John is the Senior Managing Director, Structured Products Group for Guggenheim Partners, a Private Investment Bank founded by the Guggenheim Family. John brings over 20 years of financial expertise with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry, specializing in securitized products. John is also actively involved with Mission United, a veteran homelessness outreach program of the United Way.

Carlos DeBrito
Carlos is the Director, Enterprise Dealer and Mobility Sales for Cox Automotive, Inc. He has over 15 years experience and a successful track record in profit generation, financial operations, strategic planning, innovative solutions, and client relations. Carlos played semi-professional soccer for several years after college before entering corporate America. Carlos also serves on the national board of directors at SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), a non-profit organization that empowers young people to successfully confront the risks and pressures that challenge them in their daily lives.

Dr. Christine Mastandrea
Christine is a Guidance Counselor, the Excelsior Scholar’s Program Coordinator, and Assistant Varsity Women’s Soccer Coach for Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School. She has over nine years experience working with youth, facilitating personal and academic growth, developing interpersonal skills, and assisting in career development for all students. Christine is an active guardian ad litem for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County.

Luz Carime Reveiz
Luz is the Performance Engineering Manager for American Express. Luz brings over 20 years of experience with strengths in process and operational improvement, quality management, customer service strategy, and transformational initiatives that drive efficiencies to boost performance indicators. Luz is actively involved as the Pillar Lead for American Express’ Hispanic Origin and Latin America Network (HOLA), which raise funds and awareness for local charities.
