ReMoved –A Must See Film About Children in Foster Care
When we watched this video it reminded us of a scene from To Kill a Mocking Bird, when Atticus says “First of all, if you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you’ll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”
The award-winning 12-minute film ReMoved follows the emotional story of a young girl taken from an abusive home, separated from her baby brother and placed into foster care. She bounces around from family to family and can’t seem to fit in or find happiness.
“It would be impossible to fully understand the life and emotions of a child going through the foster care system, but this short narrative film portrays that saga in a poetic light, with brushes of fear, anger, sadness and a tiny bit of hope.” – Santa Barbara Independent.
This incredible film lets us better understand what vulnerable children in the dependency system are going through. As a foster parent you have an opportunity to make a child’s life better and their future brighter.
