Voices was excited to be able to host several back-to-school events this year. We are pleased to share that over 240 children received backpacks filled with all the first day essentials this year!

On August 6th, Old Navy Oakwood opened their store early exclusively for us and thanks to our special partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Cooper City, Quest Workspaces, and Home Inc. 41 children, along with their Guardian ad Litem, were treated to a shopping spree. Volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Cooper City acted as personal shoppers and were matched with a child to help shop for clothes and other items they needed for the upcoming school year. Each child was able to purchase everything they needed to look and feel great on the first day of school. After shopping, each child enjoyed snacks and got to select a backpack filled with all the first day essentials.

On August 11th and 12th, we hosted the Annual Back-to-School Backpack Distribution Extravaganza. Guardians ad Litem selected from a huge array of the most fashionable backpacks which included rainbows, sparkles, unicorns, flowers, superheroes, and solid colors! Each backpack was filled with first day school essentials, uniforms, and comfort bags for 200 children.

We are so grateful to our all our donors whose individual and collective efforts have made our events a huge success this year. Thank you! A special thank you to Kiwanis Club of Cooper City, Quest Workspaces, Home Inc., Christ Church, Humana, Old Navy, Precious Dreams, FusionSpan, Grey Robinson, Enterprise Holdings, Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock, INSPYR Solutions, Gucci Sawgrass Mills, and to all the individuals who gifted supplies off our Amazon Wish List or gave funds toward the campaign.
